John has been in the consulting industry for over fifty years. He currently consults to a wide range of national & international businesses, and has managed the growth of a global business spanning four inter-related industries: Publishing, Toy & Doll Manufacturing, Television & Merchandising. John undertook extensive strategic planning, international legal & tax structuring, contract negotiation & much more.
Contract negotiation is a particular strength of Johns. He personally concluded publishing contracts in 34 languages in over 100 countries together with a multi million dollar, four party, tri-country television production & distribution agreement. He has twice been invited to speak in the U.K. and Europe on international business, publishing & brand management. John was also published in the 2012 Commonwealth Educational Partners book produced for the Commonwealth Conference for Educational Ministers, in Mauritius.
Alongside his corporate background, John has actively served community projects since 1994 by chairing a number of charitable trusts. He was founder chair of the Strive Rehabilitation Trust in 1996, which he still chairs & the Strive Tairawhiti Trust, which he founded & has chaired since 2000.
Currently, he is helping to establish Mātai Lab, a world leading bio-medical Institute with world leading scientists based in Gisborne, that will specialise in concussion research. In April 2018, John merged his international business consultancy company, Business Fit N.Z. Ltd with Business Success Partners NZ Limited. This has enabled a large & specialised firm of business consultants to effectively service both corporate & SME clients throughout the majority of the North Island.
